Our Story
Where It All began
Hello, I'm Dave, and my passion for the restaurant industry spans over four decades. Beginning as a general manager at Tony Roma's in Edmonton, I eventually became a partner in the Red Deer location. Alongside my wife and business partner, Carrie, and our dedicated staff, we've accumulated over 150 years of collective experience at Albert's in Red Deer alone.
Our journey has seen its share of challenges, including rebuilding after a devastating fire in 2007. We transformed Albert's into Murph's Pub and later introduced Same Old Dave's to provide comfort food with unbeatable value. In 2023, we expanded into catering with Murphy Catering, aiming to bring our renowned flare and reasonable pricing to events beyond our location.
Our success is rooted in offering value to individuals and families, supported by our loyal staff's commitment and the unwavering support of our family. We're grateful for the experiences and successes we've shared in Red Deer and Central Alberta.

Always leave satisfied and so grateful for this local gem offering some of the best eats in town! Breakfast to die for and I would choose their beef dip as my last meal if I was going today. Even accommodating our large group of 12 today on New Year’s Day, the service was great and the food piping hot.
